A Proven Track Record, Real Experience

When choosing who should represent you community, experience, integrity, and dedication matter. I believe that my background, both personal and professional demonstrates my ability to lead and commitment to delivering meaningful results for our ward.
I am an experienced candidate with a strong record of getting things done. Over the past eight years, I co-founded and ran a successful technology business. That experience has given me first-hand insight into the challenges facing local businesses today. The rising costs and how important it is to adapting in a fast-changing world. It has also shown me how innovation and modern technology can be used positively to strengthen our local economy and improve everyday life.
My involvement in education has been equally important. As a school governor at Totley Primary School, I’ve worked closely with staff, parents, and students, gaining a deep understanding of our education system. I’ve championed healthy eating initiatives and served as link governor for community engagement, early years, and PSHE. These roles have taught me a huge amount and in the case of the healthy eating initiative allowed me to help improve the health of children at the school in a real and positive way.
Community action has always been at the heart of what I do. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about creating change. I successfully campaigned at 12 years old to improve my own school environment. My success was getting the school PE kit changed. Since then, I’ve gone on to found a charity week that has run multiple times and expanded internationally, even receiving recognition in the House of Lords. Locally, I’ve worked to introduce a 20mph speed limit on my road and pushed for increased recycling capacity, real changes that directly benefit residents. I have worked with residents of Bradway who don’t own their freehold and reported leaks, fly tipping and floods to the council for our local residents.
Through my social media channels, Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram and Next Door as well as my personal website and WhatsApp. I have promoted local events and shared widely whenever I see there is a missing pet to ensure they are reunited with their owner.
I’m proud to be a Yorkshire woman, deeply connected to this community. Living in Totley with my husband and daughters, I see every day what makes this area so special: strong community spirit, beautiful surroundings, and excellent local schools. These are things worth protecting and strengthening.
I’m actively involved in local life. I manage a Porter Girls football team, volunteer as a Beaver Scouts leader, support local events, organised a food bank collection, attend litter picks, or participate in tree planting. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I delivered medication to vulnerable residents, and previously served as a trustee at Wiz Kids Nursery. These experiences have given me a clear understanding of the needs, concerns, and hopes of people in our area.
Professionally, work in marketing and also officiate funerals. Which is an honour to be there to support families and friends at such a difficult time and ensure their final farewell is a true representation and celebration of their life.
I bring a wealth of life experience. I’ve lived and worked across four continents, volunteered with a Yorkshire Samaritans branch, worked as a carer, earned a degree in genetics, and served as President of an international human rights organisation representing 40,000 members.
If elected, you will be in safe hands. I will work hard, listen carefully, and act with honesty and determination. I bring energy, persistence, and a proven ability to turn ideas into action.
If you’d like to share your concerns or hear more about my plans, I would genuinely welcome the conversation.
And if you’re looking for someone who cares deeply, listens to residents, and has a strong track record of delivering results, I ask for your support on 7th May.
